Between 1986 and 1990, Mónica Rojas pursued formal studies in Graphic Design at the Taller de Artes Visuales Joe de León y Asociados in Lima, Peru, as well as watercolor instruction with Peruvian artist Ana María Gordillo. During this formative period, Rojas explored a range of techniques, which she employed to create works honoring the Afro-Peruvian artists who served as mentors and enduring sources of inspiration in her artistic development. The following gallery presents a selection of these works.
